I think the magic at Summit is that we're a community and we are a team and you feel supported. We're a big family.Tara Pino We are a big family here and we're a small school so we have the opportunity to get to know each other better. So as a staff, you know, we all have friendly relationships so it goes beyond the professional relationship.
Nancy Morgenroth It truly is a family atmosphere here. I mean, I think you've seen that as you've walked in. You know, we're friends, and we're working towards a common goal, which is to help these students really be the best that they can be.
David Burstein Summit is a very unique institution. I would say that what we do here is we don't just teach, but we build, we build individuals.

A lot of the students who come here come for a variety of different reasons. And I think that the whole person approach that we take of not just teaching academics, but also emotional learning, social learning. I think it helps to build a much more complete individual.Joe Hannigan I would say it's more than a school. First of all, you know, it's of course we do the academics. Of course, that's a very important part, but there's more to a student, there's more to a teacher, there's more to what both of them do. And I think that the great thing that this school does is it's able to touch upon all those.
Larry Kurtzman Once the students get to know what type of approach we have, how approachable the faculty is, and how much we want them to succeed overall. It is pretty impressive just how much some of them shine.
Yvonne Bowman I say it's a place where we strive to help you embrace your learning difference, to help you to understand that no matter what your diagnosis is, that does not define you.

We want you to know it's okay to be who you are, and that's what we strive to instill in students. And in parents, embrace who your child is and know that they still are valued, they still have potential, they can still accomplish great, a great deal.
